Here, we will walk you through the steps to attend an event on a Private Campus. Let’s get you started!
Step 1: Download and install the campus, using the link provided when you registered (this should have been received via email from your event organizer).
Note: if you are attending an event in Virbela’s Open Campus, you can download the app here
Step 2: Once the app is installed, sign in and click Login to get started. Please allow a few minutes for the application to install a patch the first time you open it.
Step 3: Next, you will be prompted to customize your avatar. Choose from a wide variety of clothing and accessory options. When you are done, click the green button to enter the campus.
Step 4: You will first arrive in the landing area. To walk around, use the arrow keys, the WASD keys, or click your mouse when you see the movement icon. Click the microphone button in the lower-left corner to turn on your mic and talk. When finished talking, click the button again to mute yourself. On campus, you will experience spatialized voice, which means you can hear people close to you talking, and their voice fades as they walk in a different direction.
Step 5: Navigate to different areas of campus using the GO TO menu in the upper left corner. Click on a location in the menu to be directly teleported there.
