Before You Start

A smooth entry into Virbela Go starts with a few quick checks. Make sure you are set up with:

  • A modern browser.
    • Virbela Go runs best in Chrome or Edge. Safari and Firefox may work but can be less reliable.
  • A desktop or laptop
    • You will want a computer for the full experience. Mobile support is currently limited.
  • Stable internet
    • A strong connection, wired if possible, will keep your meetings smooth and your avatar glitch-free.
  • Headphones or earbuds
    • This keeps your audio clear and avoids echo, so conversations feel natural. However, we also have some awesome noise cancellation, so if you don’t have headphones, don’t worry!
  • A working mic
    • Test it before you log in so you can jump right into the fun without awkward “can you hear me” moments.
  • VPNs and firewalls.
    •  If you are on a strict network, you may need to disable your VPN or check with IT if something feels blocked.

With those basics ready, you are all set to dive in. Click your link, create your avatar, and get moving.

Create and Customize Your Avatar

This is the fun part. Your avatar is how you show up in Virbela Go, so make it yours.

  1. Pick your base look. Choose a starting style; it does not have to be perfect yet.

  2. Dress it up (or down). Change your hair, clothing color, and accessories until your avatar feels like you. Want to match real life? Go for it. Want to show up as your cooler alter ego? That works too.

  3. Own your vibe. Your avatar can walk, run, dance, wave, and throw in a little personality. Think of it as your digital twin with better moves.

  4. No pressure. You can update your avatar anytime. To change your avatar look, simply click on your initials in the top right corner, and select ‘Avatar’.

Quick Avatar Tips

Here are some quick tips for using your avatar

Hold Shift while moving to run.

  • Click where you want to go, and your avatar will stroll there

Control your view

  • Press the spacebar and use your mouse or touchpad to look around.
  • Press the spacebar again to lock your view back behind your avatar.

Teleport with Go To

  • Open the Go To menu to instantly jump to different locations such as the auditorium, classrooms, or meeting rooms.
  • Think of it as your personal teleportation device, way cooler than an elevator.

Bonus moves

  • Hit 1 to wave, 2 to cheer, 4 to clap, 5 to start thinking, 6 to shrug. 8 to be impatient
  • Try out other animations via the action bar to the right, such as thumbs up, dance moves, and other emotes to show off your personality.

Audio and Communication in Virbela Go

Talking and listening in Virbela Go feels natural, almost like being in the same room. Here is how to make sure you sound great and never miss a word.

  • Set up your mic and speakers
    • Choose the right microphone and speakers in your audio settings.
    • Do a quick sound test before diving in so you can avoid the dreaded “Can you hear me now?” moment.

  • How spatial audio works
    • The closer you are to someone, the louder they sound.
    • Step back and their voice fades, just like real life.
    • Walk into a quieter area if you want a private chat.

  • Text chat basics
    • Use chat to drop links, share quick notes, or send a message to the whole room.
    • Keep it casual, but remember everyone in the area can see what you type.

  • Private conversation zones
    • Some areas are designed for private conversations. Step into one and only the people inside will hear you.
    • Perfect for side chats or quick one-on-one discussions.
  • Broadcast Messages
    • Using the admin tool button, you can select ‘Broadcast’
    • From here, you can broadcast a message to everyone in the same scene as you or all across your world

Tip:

Headphones make everything smoother. You will hear clearly and avoid background echoes that distract from the conversation.

Customizing Your Space

Virbela Go is not just a blank canvas. It is your team’s virtual space, so make it feel like yours. A little customization goes a long way in building a culture your team will actually want to log into.

  • Add Your Branding
    • Upload your company logo and colors to make the environment reflect your identity. Even small touches help the space feel familiar. Simply right-click the image boards and upload your branding.

Tip:

Updating lots of things at one time? Click on the Admin tool and select ‘Edit mode’ to edit multiple image boards without being close to them

  • Personalize Offices
    • Assign offices or work areas to team members. Let them decorate, label, or arrange their space so it feels like home base. Right-click on name plaques or image boards to edit them.
  • Name Your Rooms
    • Rename rooms and areas to match your company culture. Call it “The War Room,” “The Coffee Lounge,” or “Innovation Hub.” Personality matters. Admins can do this from their dashboard, under ‘Rooms’ > ‘Web Room Management’
  • Showcase Culture
    • Display team photos, milestones, or values in common areas. Your virtual space should tell the story of who you are as a company.

Tip:

The more ownership people have over the space, the more they will use it. Encourage creativity and let your team leave their mark.

Core Features in Virbela Go

Virbela Go is more than just a place to stand around looking good in your avatar. Here are the key tools that will help your team work, connect, and get things done.

  • Meetings Made Simple
    • Hop into a meeting room, grab a seat, and start talking. The space is built for real conversations that feel natural.
  • Screen Sharing and Presentations
    • Need to show your slides, demo a product, or walk through a spreadsheet? Share your screen directly in the space so everyone stays on the same page. Simply click on the screenshare button and you’re ready to go!
  • Private Conversations
    • Step into a quieter spot or use designated private zones when you need to focus on a one-on-one or small group chat.
  • Explore and Connect
    • Wander the campus, drop by someone’s office, or meet in the lounge. These casual run-ins are often where the best ideas spark.

Tip:

Try out a mix of meetings and casual hangouts to make the most of your space. Virbela Go works best when it feels like a place your team actually wants to be.

Team Collaboration Tips

Virbela Go is not just a meeting tool. It is a shared space where your team can build habits that make collaboration natural and fun.

  • Set a Daily Together Time
    • Pick a time each day for everyone to hop in. It does not need an agenda. Just being present together encourages casual chats, quick questions, and those spontaneous moments that spark teamwork.
  • Give Everyone a Space to Call Their Own
    • Assign offices or corners of your space to different team members. When people have ownership of a spot, they are more likely to log in and use it.
  • Name Your Spaces
    • Rename rooms and areas to match your company’s style. Whether it is playful, professional, or a mix of both, the names make the environment feel like it belongs to your team.
  • Mix Work and Social
    • Schedule a meeting in the auditorium, then leave time for a virtual coffee break in the lounge. Encourage both productivity and casual connection.

Tip:

The more your team treats Virbela Go like a real office, the more it will feel like one. Show up, make it personal, and use it often.
