Knowledge

  • Hardware and Software Requirements necessary to run Virbela

  • Network/Security Requirements
    • Virbela relies on multiple hostnames and their associated ports being open to function properly. Please ensure that your network (home, VPN, proxy, or corporate) allowlists the various hostnames and their associated ports as shown on the documentation.
    • Antivirus applications (such as McAfee, Norton, etc.) may also cause a blockage. Please see the Application Allow List section at the bottom of the documentation for the specific file paths that must be excluded in your Antivirus software.

Note: The Security Requirements link above contains the host/port exceptions necessary to run Virbela Open Campus.
Each campus has its own firewall documentation that needs to be implemented prior to the event. This documentation will be provided by your event advisor, or account manager.

  • Room & Scene Capacity Recommendations
    • The recommended capacity is the suggested limit of concurrent users in a scene to maximize platform performance and make effective use of the space. Maximum capacity is the functional limitation of a scene before performance degradation could be experienced by users.

  • Practice Makes Perfect!
    • It is recommended that users (especially presenters and large organizations) test their access to the campus in advance.
    • As a best practice, event dry runs and pre-event days are very important to ensure a smooth user experience on the main event day.
